Everyone should have an emergency kit in a safe place at home, at school, and in your car.
You should map our two alternate emergency escape routes for every room in your house.
An emergency kit should include at least a flashlight that works, a radio with batteries, an emergency blanket, a first aid kit, food and water, plus extra batteries.
Your family should have a phone number of someone outside the emergency zone that you can call and tell them you’re okay.
Make sure you have a good spare tire in your car.
